In Europe, Pudelpointers are used to hunt hare, upland birds, ducks and geese, wild boar and stag, in the United States they are used primarily for hunting quail, chukar, grouse, pheasant and retrieving ducks and geese. Pudelpointers are used to track wounded deer, locate rare endangered tortoise eggsites, guard owner’s campsites against grizzly bears, and for dock diving competitions.
